EveryScape Partners with Fisherman’s Wharf Community Benefit District to Showcase Local Businesses

San Francisco’s Top Tourist Destination Expands in “The Real World Online”

WALTHAM, Mass. (June 13, 2008) — Today, EveryScape, creator of “The Real World Online,” announced a partnership with San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf Community Benefit District (FWCBD) to showcase local businesses within EveryScape’s immersive photorealistic world. “The Real World Online” is the first interactive experience that lets anyone online explore the Fisherman’s Wharf’s interiors and exteriors by walking down streets, and going inside local businesses and landmarks. Now with EveryScape visitors to the Fisherman’s Wharf neighborhood can virtually walk through the Wharf exploring THE CANNERY, Ghirardelli Square and PIER 39 in full detail at and www.everyscape.

EveryScape allows people to discover new destinations and serves as an incredible resource that goes beyond traditional maps, reviews, videos, and photos," says Jeff Brandes, VP of business development for EveryScape. "Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco is one of the most popular areas in the city and around the country for tourists. Now anyone planning their first, second, or any trip to the Wharf can experience it virtually from the comfort of their home or office.

Nearly 14 million tourists each year make their way around Fisherman’s Wharf, which boasts stunning views of San Francisco Bay and the infamous Alcatraz prison. A top tourist destination, Fisherman’s Wharf is now home to world-class restaurants, shopping, entertainment and sightseeing, such as the Wax Museum, Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum, The Aquarium of the Bay at PIER 39, Hyde Street Pier and the World War II submarine, USS Pampanito.

Starting today with Phase I complete, Web surfers can visually explore the Fisherman’s Wharf exteriors, such as landmarks, neighborhood streets, find local businesses by category or name, as well as look up any location both at and EveryScape recently incorporated enhanced features within “The Real World Online,” including a one-click meta search that serves as the gateway to the Web, World Tagging so businesses can upload their own photos and videos, and a larger viewing experience.

Phase II is currently underway, which will offer local businesses the opportunity to showcase their physical locations with a “Storefront Listing” or with an enhanced “Mini-WebScape” that provides a 3-D experience of the businesses’ interiors. For Fisherman’s Wharf, EveryScape is a unique marketing tool since most visitors make their choices – for lodging, dining, sightseeing, shopping, etc. – online before arriving. These listings also increase virtual foot traffic to a business location and offer business owners an opportunity to highlight restaurant menus, products, services and much more.

"Partnering with EveryScape gives anyone in the world instant access to the Fisherman’s Wharf,” said Rodney Fong, president of the FWCBD. “EveryScape is helping us accelerate our mission to preserve and enhance the neighborhood’s multi-cultural heritage, while integrating modern technology to enrich the experience for all visitors.”

Businesses interested in becoming part of EveryScape Fisherman’s Wharf, San Francisco on “The Real world Online” should contact EveryScape’s Mark Oliver at (415) 430-3543 or
