Ground-breaking web technology that will revolutionize online shop fronts for retail and hospitality businesses is being launched into New Zealand by US-based EveryScape, Inc. and 3D specialist Jason Mill today on www.everyscape.co.nz.
EveryScape, creator of “The Real World Online”, in partnership with Mill, EveryScape Destination Ambassador and CEO of Pivnice and ZNO, has brought their interactive experience to Christchurch, allowing anyone online to explore Christchurch interiors and exteriors by walking down streets and inside local businesses and landmarks.
“The scope of this technology is huge,” said Mill. “In its most basic form, you can fly into the building and explore a 360 degree panorama but the technology allows for much more. You can zoom in on shop displays and then click for more information or add to a shopping cart.”
The application can be used as part of a city-wide EveryScape directory and also embedded into an existing website.
Christchurch is the first New Zealand city to be added to EveryScape’s directory and the first worldwide city to be launched within EveryScape’s new high resolution viewer. The new viewer includes a full-screen option and zoom functionality, which creates a fully immersive user experience, allowing users to explore Christchurch streets and businesses as though they were there in person.
With today’s Phase I launch, web surfers will be able to explore Christchurch main streets and a limited number of businesses. Phase II is ongoing and will include the addition of other Christchurch businesses as well as public content from other major New Zealand and Australasian cities.
“EveryScape’s experiential search enables users to make informed decisions about travelling to new destinations and choosing to patronize new businesses. Rather than relying on third party reviews, site visitors can form their own opinions by exploring businesses and destinations from the comfort of their home or office,” said EveryScape CEO Jim Schoonmaker.
As print directories become more and more obsolete, businesses are always looking out for the next online technology that will help them be seen.
“EveryScape’s technology does this like nothing else,” said Mill. “It’s the best virtual experience you can get.”
